Nauvoo and a Visit from Grandma Utah

After the funeral, Spencer's mom-or Grandma Utah as she is known in our house-came back with us for a little visit and to help get things ready for Baby Boy.  We decided that we would take a quick side trip to Nauvoo-a big Church History site- on the drive back.

As previously mentioned, we left our camera card at home and so we were left to the mercy of our iPhones (what would we do without these things?).  The trip was quick, but Spencer and I did get to attend the Nauvoo temple while Grandma took the kids around to see the sights.  We all agreed we will need to go back and take it in again.  As we left, we made a stop at Carthage Jail, where the Prophet Joseph Smith was martyred.
Back at home, Grandma was a huge help cleaning baseboards and other hard to reach places for a pregnant mom.  She helped me clean out the playroom so that we could move Amelie in there as her "big girl room" and she helped me put away all the outgrown clothes.  After her visit, I felt much more ready for Baby Boy.

We also had our share of fun: going to the park, visiting the zoo, and eating at Texas Roadhouse.  Now we are excited that the next time Grandma comes it will be to visit the new baby!
