At 2 1/2, Liam doesn't know much about the world or his life goals. But, if he could, I'm certain one of his life goals would have been to go to a BYU basketball game at the Marriott Center.
Dream, fulfilled.
Just before Thanksgiving, Spencer was sent to Salt Lake City for a work conference. So, we decided to tag along and make a long trip out of it.
We had a pre Thanksgiving dinner with all of Spencer's family in Utah. It was amazing. I should also add that we forgot our camera battery, so all the pictures are from Grandma T, thus, we don't have any pictures commemorating Liam's love of chasing Winston around the house and back yard, playing in the huge playroom at Grandma's house, or the fun visits we had with friends whom we miss.
We got to eat at our favorite Utah places.
But the highlight, of course, was a BYU basketball game. Poor Liam was a little confused, and (maybe it was the jersey?) thought he was going to play BYU basketball.
So he spent the first half distressed that he had to sit in the stands.
Miss Amelie was her sweet, easy going self, of course.
But once they sang the BYU fight song, Liam decided watching wasn't as torturous as he thought, and then he didn't want to leave.
We also took Liam bowling in the Wilkinson student Center. "We go bowling at BYU with grandma" he shouted happily for days after. I'm pretty sure Liam thinks BYU is the most magical place in the whole world: basketball games, basketballs in the bookstore, ice cream, and bowling. It's the simple things in life.
