I can't believe I skipped Thanksgiving! This year we hosted for the 3rd year in a row, but this time we ended up with 29 people! Initially we invited 3 families, but it grew to 6 families plus us which meant 14 adults and 15 kids. It was a little crazy, but fun. A highlight was when Spencer walked in on all the little girls singing "Let It Go" while watching "Frozen". At about 6:30 Amelie was so overwhelmed by it all that she asked to go to bed but since her room was a play room we put her to sleep in our bed-kids still went in and woke her up, poor girl.
We had so much food everyone went home with leftovers. We had enough turkey leftover to eat for 3 more meals plus make turkey soup and turkey pot pie.
Of course the highlight was the 12 pies.
Corralling so many kids meant that these pictures were the only ones we took. We missed being with our extended family on Thanksgiving, but we are thankful for our ward family here to help us not feel so lonely.
