Halloween 2012- Liam, the Brave

This year was a big year for us.  It was the first time Liam went real trick-or-treating (and Amelie too) and the first time we ever had real trick-or-treaters (not just friends stopping by). It was also the first year Liam really anticipated Halloween and our first year carving a pumpkin.  For months, Liam has been really interested in the "scary guys" at every Halloween store.  Yesterday, he watched the Thriller music video at least 5 times and listened to "Monster Mash" at least a dozen.

He became so interested in showing his bravery and scary guys, that he altered his Halloween costume from being a pig (his favorite animal) to being a scary pig (combination skeleton and pig).  In the end, he decided he just wanted to be a skeleton.

Liam was so excited to carve the pumpkin and scoop out the inside.  When we went to carve the pumpkin, Liam said he wanted a scary face with a happy mouth.

This picture perfectly explains what Liam thought of pumpkin carving.

Amelie was a kitty, since that is her favorite animal.  She was as enthusiastic about trick-or-treating as Liam was.  Amelie was even saying candy by the end of the night, although she didn't get to eat much more than a couple of M& M's.

Everyone had lots of fun on Halloween and all are now suffering from "Halloween hangovers" (=really grouchy from not enough sleep/too much sugar and excitement).

We can relate to the hangovers and poor Tolman has HFM disease to top it off. :( Loved hearing Liam's thoughts on Halloween and of course the pumpkin pic! He is so cute.
