We could always name him Sue

With no offense to all the wonderful family and friends who spoiled us this season, we must say one of our best gifts was learning Christmas Eve our baby is going to be a little boy (pictured below)! That means we need to figure out a name for our new addition. We have known for a long time that we could pick a girl's name with ease. We both perfectly agree on our top thee options, even middle names. But we have completely different tastes when it comes to boy names. Too boring! Too wierd! Too reminiscent of someone from my childhood who I didn't like. Is Adams even a name?

People have various opinions on names. Frankly, it's our child and we're going to choose the name we like best regardless of what anyone else thinks. But we thought it might be an interesting experiment to see what names our friends and family like. You'll notice two new polls on our blog's sidebar asking for which of the 13 contenders you like most and which you like least. It's set up so you can select more than one. So start clicking...

What a cute baby. He looks just like you ;) Too funny with the names. We finally gave up telling others what our options were because someone always had a story about a mean/unpleasant/unintelligent/whatever kid in their childhood with that name. Not that this will refrain me from one comment - I think Adams might be hard on the little guy, because it's a last name - and he might spend an inordinate amount of time explaining that he really does have the s on Adam. Just my opinion of course...:) Sue , on the other hand, sounds like a great choice for him...:)

We missed you guys at Christmas. Hope you're all better Julia.

Oops! Adams wasn't even supposed to be on there. If you'll notice it's not on the first poll. Don't worry, it's not under consideration :)

Horray for the naming dilemma. I think it's part of the initation rights for parents! : ) I can't wait to meet him. If he takes after his mom and dad even in the slightest, he'll be good looking, intelligent, kind, talented, sophisticated, and well... he may get teased a bit if his name is Sue. Congrats to you guys!
