Time Travel

Yes, I think it is sufficiently past Christmas enough to finally blog about it. So here it goes...
When we left D.C., it looked like this. 2 feet of snow slightly delayed our travel plans, but we made it to Pennsylvania for Spencer's Grandmom's birthday. It was a wonderful celebration and a great start to our trip.

Next we continued up to Connecticut where a certain uncle was very excited to see his nephew after 5 longs months! Liam adores his uncle John who always knew how to make Liam smile.
Liam managed to stuff himself in his too small Santa suit just for a few pictures. What a sport.

Liam was thoroughly spoiled by all the adoring grown ups. As you can see in the above picture, he loves being the center of attention, and during the many holiday parties, he had a willing audience. This however, has been a small let down for Liam as he now only has two adoring fans at home.

Liam was also thoroughly spoiled with gifts. We had a Christmas preview before we left D.C. with gifts from Grandma T. and Liam got so overwhelmed by all the gifts we had to take a break :) He happily resumed after a nap and it prepared him well for opening presents on Christmas Day.
We also managed a visit to Brooklyn, NY to visit my great-uncle Tony. Spencer finally got to see the home and neighborhood where my mom grew up and eat the most excellent pizza this side of Naples. Liam needed to learn a little Italian opera from Uncle Tony too.
And finally, Spencer, Liam and I took a short day trip to Boston to eat more Italian food and check out the JFK presidential library and museum. We look forward to a more in depth examination of Boston in nicer weather, but for now we concur that Boston is a nice city.

We had a wonderful trip filled with lots of time spent with family as well as time relaxing. Spencer and I both managed to read several books during the trip thanks to many helpful hands eager to play with Liam. We missed being with family who live far away, but we are so thankful for the time we spent with some of our family. Cheers to 2010!
